The Louisville and Jefferson County Information Consortium
(LOJIC) is committed to supporting the educational efforts of
JCPS, especially in the utilization of GIS technology. The Floyds
Fork Web Site project is exciting because it promotes the use
of GIS in environmental education, something to which LOJIC is
firmly committed . Staff contributors include:
Christi Stevens for concept design and technical consulting
Ken Bailey and Jane Poole for map products and technical
support
We are thankful for the opportunity to contribute to this
project.
What is LOJIC?? It represents a
multi-agency effort to build and maintain a comprehensive Geographic
Information System (GIS) to serve all of Louisville and Jefferson
County, Kentucky. Present LOJIC participants include the City
of Louisville, Jefferson County, Louisville and Jefferson County
Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), the Property Valuation Administrator
(PVA) and the Louisville Water Company (LWC). All participants
are sharing the cost and effort involved in the full development
and successful implementation of LOJIC.
