Waldron Shale

Waldron Shale is a fossiliferous rock which provides a good base for ponds.  It is unsuitable for septic tanks and cesspools due to impermeability.  This formation is gently sloping.  Waldron Shale is a poor foundation material for building or roads.  It is necessary to excavate to more solid bedrock.
